Counting Calories with Crystal is a place to reach your nutritional goals. I am a busy wife, mother, teacher, and Certified Nutrition Coach. I love to help people with meal prep for weight loss. I help each client set individual goals and work on ways to achieve them. I am a big believer in meal prepping to help you meet your calorie and macros. In my free time, I love hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I am in the process on hiking all the trails in the GSMNP. My husband John and I also love to travel. We recently visited Colorado and hiked in the Rocky Mountain National Park.
Meal prepping is making a large batch of food and dividing it into single servings to eat over multiple days. Meal prepping takes the guess work out meeting your calorie needs for the week. It ensures that you are eating in a way that adds in fruits, vegetables, protein, and fun foods. It also helps you stay in a deficit for weight loss.
The macronutrients or macros are protein, carbs, and fat. I develop meal plans to help you on your weight loss journey. A key to weight loss is finding the appropriate macros to help you meet your goals. Some of my clients are very active and run marathons. That client would need more carbs than a client that is sedentary.
A calorie deficit is eating below your calorie level in order to lose weight. A calorie deficit doesn't have to be miserable. A slight calorie deficit is more sustainable when you can still eat some of your favorite foods. I don't believe in overly restrictive diets. My meal plans are more like lifestyle changes that become a daily habit.
